Mr. Olympia is the 51st running of this competition, founded by the 'godfather of bodybuilding', Joe Weider. The winner is crowned at the Joe Weider “Fitness and Performance Weekend” competition, now held annually in Las Vegas.

Our video takes you back to the spectacular Mr Olympia, from his beginnings under Joe Weider to the present day. The pageant is now something completely different in scale - not only in terms of the contestants' physiques, but also in terms of prize money and pectoral muscle size.

Valor Award -Frank Zane came ^3rd in 1980 after a near fatal accident and long hospital stay.

Consecutive Wins - With current champion Phil Heath, America has been a winning nation for 18 consecutive years.
